2024 GHA Fall Sports Information

Flag Football

  • Tryouts will be held on Monday and Tuesday (8/19-8/20) from 4:30-6:00 at Motion Indoor Soccer Facility. The address is 1008 W Harris Rd #150, Arlington, TX 76001. 
  • Athletes will be picked up in carline and dropped off at the indoor facility by 4:30. Athletes must be picked up no later than 6:10. 
  • Final rosters will be announced at the end of tryouts on Tuesday. 
  • Practices will begin on Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 at Motion Indoor Soccer Facility. JV and MS will practice every Monday-Thursday from 4:30-6:00 at Motion Indoor. 
  • Our first games for JV and middle school will be next Friday and Saturday (8/23-8/24) at the Great Hearts Lakeside Flag Football Tournament. Coaches will send more information about the tournament after tryouts.  

Volleyball

  • Tryouts will be held on Monday and Tuesday (8/19-8/20) from 4:00-6:00 in the gymnasium.
  • Athletes will go straight to tryouts after school and must be picked up no later than 6:10. 
  • Final rosters will be announced at the end of tryouts on Tuesday. 
  • Practices will begin on Wednesday. 
  • After tryouts, middle school Green and Gray teams will practice every Monday-Thursday from 6:30-8:00 A.M. (SEE BELOW FOR MORNING PRACTICE DROP-OFF PROCEDURE)
  • JV volleyball will practice from 4:00-5:30 every Monday-Thursday and from 2:30-4:15 every Friday. 

Cross Country

  • Practice begins on Monday, August 19th, and will be held on campus
  • Practices will be every Monday-Thursday from 6:30-8:00 A.M. (SEE BELOW FOR MORNING PRACTICE DROP-OFF PROCEDURE) 

High School Athletic Development

  • Starts on Monday, August 19th. Workouts will be from 4:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday. 
  • Athletes will go straight to the gym after school and must be picked up no later than 5:10. 
  • During athletic development, our strength and conditioning coordinator, Kristina Tomelloso, will work with our high school athletes in the weight room to refine technique and build strength, while also leading conditioning sessions aimed at enhancing their overall fitness and performance.

ATHLETES MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL ON FILE TO PARTICIPATE IN TRYOUTS AND PRACTICES. 

MORNING PRACTICE DROP OFF PROCEDURE

  • Athletes with morning practices need to be dropped off in the FRONT between 6:20-6:30. Please drop off during this timeframe to avoid getting stuck in carline
  • Siblings CANNOT be dropped off with athletes.
